Kevin O'Connor is an author, executive coach, businessman and consummate speaker. With style and humor he addresses profitability and bottom line issues with a wide variety of business audiences. His specialty is working with technical and medical professionals - IT experts, engineers, and healthcare executives - who have been promoted into leadership and sales positions requiring that they lead and influence former peers. Kevin has helped thousands develop and finetune their leadership and management skills. He also teaches graduate students at Loyola University and Columbia College, Chicago's Performing Arts School.
In the last 30 years, Kevin has addressed thousands of audiences around the world. His clients are organizations like Allstate Insurance, Motorola, Novartis, Abbott Labs, AMGEN, Boston Consulting Group, the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Army, Rockwell Electronic Commerce, Financial Planning Association, and Professional Women in Healthcare. In 2007 Kevin was the moderator and emcee for the innovation conference, The Medici Summit. He is also a faculty member of the American College of Physician Executives.
With graduate degrees in Education, Counseling Psychology and Spirituality, Kevin's corporate experience is clearly focused on the challenges of leadership, the effectiveness of teams, and issues linked to business relationships. Kevin's book, Present Like a Pro: The Field Guide to Mastering the Art of Business, Professional and Public Speaking, co-authored with colleague Cyndi Maxey, was released to rave reviews in 2006. This writing partnership was so successful that O'Connor and Maxey have written SPEAK UP!: A Woman's Guide to Presenting Like a Pro (St. Martin's Griffin, 2008). In 2002, Kevin authored Profit-Ability: Leading Teams to a Better Bottom Lime.
