Vernice Armour
America's first African-American female combat pilot emerges as an impressive coach, influencing individuals and impacting organizations with powerful lessons on EXCELerated Leadership
What is EXCELerated Leadership™? It is harnessed energy, which combined with wisdom and vision, leads teams to new heights. Leaders channel the raw energy from extreme emotions of failure and success - it propels them forward and breaks the sound barrier from existing to excelling.
Vernice Armour combines energy, humor, powerful audio and visual tools, and meaningful content to educate, edify, and thoughtfully entertain. Through keynotes, seminars, workshops, and executive retreats, she shares her unique perspective and life strategy: Acknowledge the obstacles? Don't give them power!
While attending Middle Tennessee State University, Vernice enlisted in the army Reserves in the spring of 1993; that fall, she enrolled in Army ROTC. Later when she saw a young black female in an flight suit during an ROTC Advanced Camp, she thought, "Wow, why didn't I think of that?"
Focus and dedication have served Vernice well. After realizing a dream to become a police officer, she determined to become a Marine Corps officer and combat pilot. Three years later, she realized both dreams and the Pentagon recognized her as America's First African-American Female Combat Pilot. Vernice served two tours in Iraq. She also authored the book Band of Sisters: American Women at War in Iraq. Vernice's additional achievements are too many to list here, but they are evidence of why she is so sought-after - even being featured Tavis Smiley and Oprah.
Vernice addresses audiences of executives, managers, HR professionals, training experts, and customer service reps. In other words, her programs are designed for everyone wanting to excel. Vernice's most requested programs are:
